About Sue

Susan completed a Certificate Course in Visual Art and Design with TAFE, Rockhampton in 1992 and later in 2007 and over the next few years, completed a further five certificates in Printmaking with TAFE, Yeppoon. She was a member of the Mill Art Gallery, Yeppoon with work exhibited there for several years. At the same time she became a member of the Emu Park Art Gallery, Emu Park where she had moved to live in 2005. She is still a member of this Gallery as well as being on the Committee.

She entered the Flying Arts Qld Regional Art Awards online Competitions three years running and twice her lino prints were accepted to be part of the Travelling Exhibition, “Connection” and “The Essence of Queensland” touring to various galleries throughout Queensland including the State Library in Brisbane.

The Umbrella Print Studio in Townsville became another outlet for Susan and she participated in their Compact Prints International Exhibitions in 2012 and 2014.

In 2014, 2015 and 2016, Susan took part in the Central Qld University Creates Exhibition and her lino prints from these exhibitions were purchased for the University Art Collection. In 2015 she also participated in the Capricornia Printmakers exhibition “Two Birds One Stone” in Rockhampton. In May 2016, she was also one of ten artists chosen to be part of the exhibition “Artists in Livingstone”, Mill Gallery, Yeppoon.

Susan was born in Rockhampton in 1957 where she lived until moving to the United Kingdom in 1980-1981 and returned there in 1987-1991. She now loves living on the Capricorn Coast.
