Why the Turning Point?
The new Emu Park Gallery is on the site of the old railways yards not far from the Turning Point, where steam locomotives from Rockhampton were literally turned around for their return journey. It’s also a Turning Point for the artists who have a beautiful, new space to call home
EXHIBITION OPENING DATE: Saturday the 11th December.
Our first ever Exhibition is almost ready to be unleashed onto the public and will officially be launched two days after the official opening of the Gallery Building.
The launch date will be Saturday the 11th December.
It is very big news for the town of Emu Park but unfortunately with Covid Restrictions the event has become a ticketed only event for those that have received official invitations.
The Exhibition officially opened by the Former Mayor of Livingstone Shire, Mr Bill Ludwig who was instrumental in encouraging the Gallery Members to ‘dream big’ when our old Gallery Building was sold and our group was rendered homeless.
Whilst attending the new exhibition you also have the opportunity to purchase original artworks, sculptures, pottery, jewellery, gift cards and more from the Gallery Shop.
The Gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm and admission is FREE
